AutoCAD's own format opens right here — no AutoCAD, no plugin, no upload. Read the drawing at true millimetre size, then save it as DXF for CAD, SVG for cutting, or a solid GLB, OBJ or STL you can put straight into a slicer.
Pick the format for the job you're actually doing. Everything is written in your browser.
Circles, arcs and text stay as real CAD entities wherever the drawing allows it, so LibreCAD, Fusion, SolidWorks and every slicer's import dialog read it cleanly. This is the file to send when someone asks for "the CAD".
A true-scale vector of the whole drawing. Feed it to a laser, a vinyl plotter or Illustrator without a single import setting to guess at.
Outlines are filled and pushed up to the thickness you set, in millimetres. Drop the result into Cura, PrusaSlicer or Bambu Studio and it lands at the right size the first time.
One self-contained file that opens on a phone, in a browser and in every modern 3D tool. Handy for showing a client the shape before anything gets printed.
The format Blender, Maya and 3ds Max never argue with. Use it when the converted shape is a starting point rather than the finished part.
Extruded and revolved AutoCAD solids sit in the file as ACIS data that no open library can unpack. Export those as STL from AutoCAD — or WhatsApp us the DWG and we'll convert it free.
Worth a read before you send the result to a machine.
The DWG is decoded by LibreDWG compiled to WebAssembly and runs entirely inside this tab. There is no upload, no server copy and no account. Close the tab and the drawing is gone.
AutoCAD stores a units setting in every drawing and the converter reads it. If a file was drawn unitless, or the sizes look off by a factor of ten, set the real unit yourself and every number and export updates.
A shape has to actually join up before it can become solid. Gaps in a polyline leave it open — those get skipped in Fill outlines mode. Switch to Raise every line and the whole drawing becomes ribs instead, gaps and all.
Xrefs, ACIS solids and a few proxy entities can't be read by any open library. WhatsApp us the file — we convert it on our side at no charge and send back something printable.
